Jay Schoenwaelder – Marketing Communications Specialist

Contributing to Dorner’s website and other communication efforts for three years, Jay has a fresh perspective on how conveyors are used in the marketplace. He has gained a balanced familiarity with the various industries that use conveyors through writing the Dorner Advantage monthly e-newsletter, developing DornerConveyors.com, studying and documenting real-life conveyor solutions, coordinating trade show efforts, and training Dorner’s excellent network of Sales Distributors.

Jay has also helped Dorner enter the social media world by developing videos for the DornerConveyors YouTube page and communicating with the industry on Facebook.

In Jay’s free time, he enjoys playing sports, camping, and strumming his guitar. You might find him on Milwaukee’s Bradford Beach playing volleyball, on the soccer pitch, or enjoying Wisconsin’s great outdoors.

John Kuhnz – Director of Marketing

With over 18 years of experience in the material handling industry, John is an expert when it comes to conveyors. John uses this experience to bring conveyor solutions to fruition for customers or researching the market to identify needs and implement innovative advances in conveyor technology.

In the 5 years that John has managed new products, Dorner has released over six new product including the AquaGard 7350 and 7360, DustPruf 2300 and 5300, and the iDrive for 2200 and 3200 Series.

When John isn’t finding opportunities for improvement in the industry, he enjoys coaching his sons’ baseball teams and golfing.

Steve Staedler – Public Relations Specialist

Steve has been following trends and innovations in the material handling industry for the past 10 years. His efforts include managing Dorner’s public relations campaigns as a senior account executive for LePoidevin Marketing, a full-service B2B marketing agency in Brookfield, Wis. Steve has written hundreds of articles, case studies, news releases and blogs for Dorner that have appeared in national industry trade magazines, websites and social media outlets, and regularly attends industry trade shows and seminars.

Steve also has extensive international public affairs and global media relations experience. As a Reservist in the Air Force Reserve, he’s been activated twice for public affairs missions in support of Operations Enduring Freedom and Iraqi Freedom. He also supported media operations for Haiti and Hurricane Katrina.
